Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Paleta — Color By Number (“we”, “us”, the “App”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the App.

Your consent comes first

We do not collect any personal information or request any permissions until you have read and agreed to this Privacy Policy. The third-party SDKs described below are initialized only after you accept this policy. Before you accept, no identifiers, sensor data, or network information are gathered.

Information we collect

  • Account information (optional). If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address to create and sync your account.
  • Identifiers. A persistent user ID and device identifiers — including the Open Anonymous Device Identifier (OAID), ANDROID ID, and, on iOS, the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) — used for analytics, attribution, and advertising. On iOS we request your permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency before using the IDFA for tracking.
  • Device & network information. Device model, operating-system version, app version, IP address, network type, Wi-Fi information, and network identifiers such as MAC address, BSSID, and SSID, used to deliver push notifications reliably and to measure marketing attribution.
  • Sensor data. Gyroscope and accelerometer readings, used by our attribution and anti-fraud provider to verify that interactions come from a real device.
  • Installed application list. The list of apps installed on your device, used by our push-notification provider for message delivery and anti-fraud purposes.
  • Usage & log data. In-app interactions (such as screens viewed, features used, and paintings opened), operation logs, and usage time and frequency.
  • Diagnostics. Crash logs and performance data to help us keep the App stable and secure.
  • Push notifications. If you enable notifications, we use a device push token to deliver them.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or payment information.

Permissions we request

We collect and use the following permissions following the principles of legality, legitimacy, and necessity. "Automatic" permissions are needed for basic operation; "dynamic" permissions are requested only when you use the related feature, and you may decline or revoke them in your device Settings at any time.

How we collect and use information

We follow the principles of legality, legitimacy, and necessity, and use information for the following purposes:

  • To ensure the normal operation of basic product functions.
  • To provide, operate, and improve the App and your coloring experience.
  • To sync your progress and account across devices (when signed in).
  • To display advertising, including personalized ads where permitted.
  • To understand usage, measure performance, and fix problems.
  • To ensure the security of users and the App.
  • To send notifications you have opted into.
  • To comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Advertising & tracking

The App uses Google AdMob to show ads. With your permission (App Tracking Transparency), the Advertising Identifier may be used to deliver and measure personalized ads, which can involve tracking across apps and websites operated by other companies. If you do not grant permission, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant. You can change this anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device.

Third-party SDKs & the data they collect

After you accept this policy, the App integrates the following third-party SDKs. We list the specific information each one collects so you know exactly what is shared:

  • AppsFlyer (marketing attribution & anti-fraud) — collects gyroscope and accelerometer sensor data and device identifiers to attribute installs and detect fraudulent activity. Privacy Policy
  • JPush / Aurora Mobile (极光) (push notifications) — collects the installed application list, BSSID, MAC address, ANDROID ID, and SSID to deliver push messages reliably across networks and to prevent abuse. Privacy Policy
  • Google AdMob (advertising) — Privacy Policy
  • Google Sign-In (optional account login) — Privacy Policy

Information sharing and disclosure

We will not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With service providers who support the operation of the App, limited to what is necessary for the service they provide.
  • Where required by applicable laws, regulations, or valid legal process.
  • With your explicit, separate consent.

Note: when the App loads a web page (WebView), that page may invoke system functions independently, which is not initiated by the App itself.

Data retention

We keep account and usage data only as long as needed to provide the App and for legitimate business or legal purposes. You can request deletion of your account data at any time (see Contact).

Your rights and choices

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information.

The App is intended for adults. If you are under 18, please use the App only with the consent and guidance of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors; if you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
